This is absolutely impossible I hear you say, in fact scratch that I'll agree with you that I first thought that this was the ramblings of a mad man or the butt end of a joke aimed at someone?

I definitely didn't think that there was anything to it I'll be completely honest with you. But like a lot of mysteries and old wives tales etc there's usually titbits of truth to it "somewhere" and it all depends on how you connect the dot's.
After researching this and reading up on this, there would seem that there's some truth to it or at least there's tons of caves that seem to be linked or at the very least, some of them are linked together but that's like saying that the tunnels connecting each other have either caved in or deliberately turned to rubble.
If these where connected at one point then the undertaking of such a magnificent and ambitious construction building campaign must of taken many hundreds of thousands of people if not millions of people and yet 12000 years ago there wasn't that many people... or was there?
These tunnels have protected people from animals, war, cosmic cataclysmic event's and Extraterrestrial entities invading Earth. Now on the flip side, Extraterrestrial entities made them, another seperate species of humans created them, they're still in existence been used by the elite Illuminati, Freemasons use them, the powerful shadowy underground puppet masters... There's a million and one different reasons for their existence and who used to use them, who still uses them and I'm pretty sure that before the nights out, the Queen will have used this at some point.

German archaeologist Dr Heinrich Kusch said evidence of the tunnels has been found under hundreds of Neolithic settlements all over the continent. In his book — (German title: Tore zur Unterwelt) — he says that the fact so many have survived after 12,000 years shows that the original tunnel network must have been enormous. In Bavaria in Germany alone we have found 700 meters of these underground tunnel networks. In Styria in Austria we have found 350 meters, he said.
Across Europe there were thousands of them – from the north in Scotland down to the Mediterranean. Most are not much larger than big wormholes – just 70cm wide – just wide enough for a person to wriggle along but nothing else.
They are interspersed with nooks, at some places it’s larger and there is seating, or storage chambers and rooms. They do not all link up but taken together it is a massive underground network.

The discovery of a vast network of tunnels suggests that Stone Age humans were not just spending their days hunting and gathering. However, the real purpose of the tunnels is still a matter of speculation. Some experts believe they were a way of protecting man from predators while others believe they were a way for people to travel safely.
